Mosaic Workshops @ the Bluecoat
Start is pleased to announce that it has began its Big Lottery Funded participatory art programme at the Bluecoat, Liverpool. It has began by delivering a series of six mosaic art workshops for individuals who have experiences vulnerability though mental illness. These workshops are part of the first phase of Start’s Creative Wellbeing programme in-which all of the work produced by the group will be exhibited at the bluecoat on 14th December 2012.
The second phase of the project sees Start and the group co-deliver participatory activities with residents, staff and relatives in a local residential & nursing home for people who experience dementia-type illnesses and other limiting health conditions. Mosaics will be co-produced and subsequently sited in the nursing home’s garden, representing individual and group life stories and the importance of the creative act, regardless of age or circumstance – a legacy..
